The back is the most likely area of the body to have negative long term affects as a result of improper manual handling.

  • Musculoskeletal is a term describing the bones, joints and surrounding soft tissue including ligaments, muscles, tendons)

  • If you are involved with heavy lifting on a daily basis, then you could be at risk of developing back injury

  • Working in awkward or prolonged stooped postures also places strains and stresses on the spine that might be damaging.

Back Injuries can include but are not limited to:

Sciatica, Whiplash, Sprains and strains, Torn ligaments
