“…any transporting or supporting of a load (including the lifting, putting down, pushing, pulling, carrying or moving thereof) by hand or bodily force“

Manual handling outside of work:
- Picking up a bucket of water and a mop
- Removing ladders from back of van
- Carrying a vacuum
- Emptying a bin into a skip
- Pushing a mower / using a hedge trimmer
- Holding a 5 litre container of chemical
- Using telescopic poles to clean windows
- Cleaning with a cloth
- Removing equipment from vans
